In 1942, an American chemistry professor, the son of a family of Jewish millers who had immigrated from Russia, wrote in a science fiction short story titled Runaround, which we might translate as “going around in circles” or “vicious circle” in which he introduced for the first time the Three Laws of Robotics.
I was born in Trento in 1956. I graduated in Physics at the Scuola Normale of Pisa and I got my PhD at the University of Paris IX, Orsay. Since 1992 I am Full Professor of Experimental Physics at the Department of Physics, University of Trento. To the research activity I add the scientific divulgation, with books, interviews and participation to events.
